Telugu Desam Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu presided over the party’s politburo meeting on Thursday to discuss political strategies for the MLC elections. Naidu announced plans to fill nominated positions for the Janmabhoomi-2 program and revive the party’s previous flagship initiatives. As part of a membership drive, the party will offer accident insurance of 25 lakh, with a membership fee set at 100. Naidu also outlined the government’s new efforts to tackle poverty. The politburo resolved to strengthen the Telugu Desam party in Telangana.
Naidu highlighted the release of seven white papers by the alliance government detailing issues such as law enforcement and land disputes over the past five years. He criticized YSRC leaders for alleged manipulation in cases like Viveka’s murder and the Madanapalle land scams. Naidu emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in governance.
Regarding social welfare initiatives, Naidu pledged to continue operating Anna canteens inspired by the successful Annadanam program in Tirumala. He emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting farmers affected by recent rains and implementing poverty alleviation measures through the P4 policy.
Looking ahead, Naidu discussed plans for Janmabhoomi-2, aiming to implement development and welfare programs with renewed vigor. He stressed the importance of recognizing the dedication of party members and ensuring transparency in filling nominated positions. Naidu encouraged ministers to engage with the party’s central office to promote grassroots involvement.
