Government Initiatives in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana: Police Job Notifications and MBBS Seat Applications Update

The government of Andhra Pradesh state has delivered positive news to the unemployed individuals. Home Minister Anita announced that a new notification will soon be released to fill the vacant police positions. Currently, there is a deficit of 20,000 police jobs in the state, and plans are in place to address this shortage promptly. This development indicates a potential for the swift filling of constable and SS positions.

In Amaravati on August 14, it was disclosed that the previous government had issued a notification on November 28, 2022, to fill 6,100 police constable posts. However, the preliminary examination took place on January 22 last year, with 458,219 candidates participating. The results were announced on February 5 last year, leading to 95,209 candidates advancing to the next stage. Despite delays, the NDA government is working towards finalizing the recruitment process schedule by the end of August.

In other news, the deadline for MBBS seat applications in Telangana has been extended significantly. The application process for filling seats in government and private medical colleges under the convener quota will continue. The University of Technology recently extended the application deadline until 6 pm on August 15. As per the initial announcement, the deadline for online registration and document uploads was set for August 13 at 6 pm. However, the registrar of Kaloji University announced a two-day extension for the deadline.

Students who qualified in the NEET-UG 2024 entrance exam are encouraged to apply for MBBS and BDS seats in medical colleges in Telangana under the convener quota. It is recommended to upload scanned copies of original certificates during the online application submission.
