BSNL is emerging as a strong competitor against industry giants such as Jio and Airtel. The modernization of BSNL’s towers has already been successfully accomplished, setting the stage for the imminent launch of 5G services by the government-owned telecom company. This presents a significant opportunity for customers as BSNL now offers the convenience of having ordered SIM cards delivered directly to their homes, with the added option of ordering BSNL 4G SIM cards online. This eliminates the need to visit physical stores.
In a recent trend, numerous customers who were previously with mobile networks like Jio and Airtel have made the switch to BSNL. This shift can be attributed to BSNL’s decision not to raise tariffs, unlike its competitors. BSNL has commenced providing high-speed 4G services through the installation of 15,000 new 4G towers nationwide, ensuring fast internet connectivity across the country.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has announced plans to install a total of 80,000 towers by October’s end, with the remaining 21,000 towers scheduled for completion by March 2025. Noteworthy is BSNL’s partnership with a company to deliver SIM cards to customers’ homes, a service that was previously exclusive to other mobile operators but has now been adopted by BSNL as well.
