Unveiling the Citroen Basalt: A Breakthrough in Coupe SUV Technology

The automotive industry in India is experiencing rapid growth, particularly with a recent surge in car purchases. Various companies are introducing vehicles with advanced features to cater to the increasing demand. Notably, Citroen Basalt, a renowned company, has unveiled its latest coupe SUV model in the market. Citroen India has also disclosed the pricing details of different Basalt variants, aiming to make them affordable for the middle-class demographic.

Citroen Basalt offers three variants – U, Plus, and Max, with deliveries set to commence in September 2024. The pricing ranges from Rs 7,99,000 for the 1.2 NA model to Rs 12,28,000 for the 1.2 Turbo Max variant. The vehicle is equipped with two engine options: a 1.2-liter petrol engine generating 80 bhp and 115 Nm of torque, and a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 109 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. Citroën claims fuel efficiency of 18 km and 19.5 km per liter for the respective engine variants.

The Citroen Basalt boasts impressive features such as LED projector headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, wraparound tail lights, and rear air conditioning vents. The coupe SUV also includes a 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment system supporting automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Safety features like six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), rear parking camera with sensors, and tire pressure monitoring system enhance passenger safety and comfort, making it an attractive choice for buyers.
