The IT and Electronics Minister, Nara Lokesh, has made a strong appeal to Foxconn to establish a ‘mega manufacturing city’ in AP, assuring complete governmental assistance. A delegation from Foxconn, headed by their Indian representative V Lee, met with the minister earlier this week. Lokesh elaborated on the resources available in AP that could facilitate the company’s operations in the region. He also mentioned the upcoming electronic policy that the state plans to introduce. Foxconn, a leading global electronics manufacturer with diverse investments, including in electric vehicles, was encouraged by the minister to consider expanding their footprint in India by setting up a significant manufacturing hub in AP. Lokesh emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting Foxconn and other industries, citing previous successful collaborations during the previous TD term. Furthermore, he reiterated the government’s ambitious goal of creating two crore job opportunities for the youth.
