The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is intensifying its efforts to combat the rise of unauthorized websites selling fake tickets for devotees seeking darshan at Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Recent incidents of devotees being caught with counterfeit tickets have prompted TTD to issue a stern warning against using unofficial sources for ticket bookings.
TTD emphasizes the importance of using only the official website, https://ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in, for booking darshan tickets. Devotees are urged to provide their Aadhaar card number and address to ensure authenticity and avoid falling prey to middlemen who may exploit the situation.
In a recent case, four individuals from Tamil Nadu were apprehended for attempting to enter the Kalyan festival with fake tickets. The vigilant TTD officials identified the culprits and uncovered a scheme where tickets were obtained using manipulated passport numbers. This discovery led to the unravelling of a larger network involved in the illicit sale of tickets for profit.
The TTD vigilance team, in collaboration with local authorities, is cracking down on brokers who deceive innocent devotees with false promises of securing darshan tickets. Devotees are strongly advised to refrain from engaging with such middlemen to avoid financial losses and legal repercussions.
TTD’s proactive stance against unauthorized ticket sales underscores its commitment to preserving the sanctity of the darshan experience and protecting devotees from fraudulent activities. By raising awareness and conducting thorough checks on ticket authenticity, TTD aims to maintain the integrity of the darshan process and uphold the trust of pilgrims visiting Tirumala.
