Two tragic industrial accidents have shaken Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, leaving a trail of destruction and loss. In Maharashtra, a massive explosion at a steel factory in Jalna resulted in 22 people sustaining serious injuries after a boiler exploded. The Superintendent of Police, Ajay Kumar Bansal, reported that three workers are in critical condition after molten iron fell on them during the explosion at the Gajkesari steel mill.
The injured workers were promptly admitted to a private hospital in Chhatrapati Shambhajinagar city. Investigations by officials have revealed that steel bars in the factory are made from scrap, shedding light on potential safety concerns. Legal action is being pursued against the company owner as authorities gather statements from the affected workers.
Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, a tragic incident unfolded at Essentia Advanced Sciences Pharma Company in Achyutapuram, Anacapalli district. An explosion caused by a reactor malfunction led to a fire that engulfed the premises. The impact of the blast caused walls and AC units to collapse on workers, resulting in 18 fatalities and 36 injuries. The workers were reportedly thrown significant distances by the force of the explosion.
These devastating events underscore the urgent need for stringent safety measures and thorough regulatory oversight in industrial settings to prevent such tragedies from recurring.
