Russian cosmonaut Sergey Valdimirovich Korsakov and Dr. Srimathy Kesan, the founder and CEO of Space Kidz India, together with their team, met with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Sunday. During the meeting, Kesan discussed Space research programs and presented the SR-O DEMOSAT satellite, the smallest satellite deployer developed by their team, highlighting its key features to Pawan Kalyan. Kesan advocated for the establishment of a Space Park in Andhra Pradesh to raise awareness about Space science among students and children, noting that such a facility currently only exists at NASA. Pawan Kalyan positively acknowledged Kesan’s proposal.
Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan honored Russian cosmonaut Sergey Korsakov and gifted him a prototype of Chandrayaan-III. He inquired about the Space station’s intriguing features and the research activities undertaken during Korsakov’s six-month residency there. Pawan Kalyan emphasized the importance of instilling awareness of Space science from a young age and assured government support for students aspiring to pursue careers in science. Pawan Kalyan, who oversees the science and technology portfolio, expressed that India’s progress on the development path hinges on the effective utilization of Space research outcomes.
