In the first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, tensions ran high as both teams faced fines from the ICC for a slow over rate. The repercussions were severe, with Pakistan losing 6 points and Bangladesh losing 3 points. This setback hit Pakistan hard, especially after their recent defeat against Bangladesh which pushed them down to the eighth position in the ICC World Test Championship points table.

The ongoing two-test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh took a surprising turn in the first match, where Bangladesh secured a historic victory by 10 wickets. The unexpected loss was a blow to Pakistan, who had high hopes of dominating on their home ground.

Both teams were left reeling when the ICC intervened with fines for the slow over rate during the Rawalpindi Test. The message was clear – the ICC is closely monitoring the series and will not tolerate any infractions.

In a dramatic turn of events, Pakistan declared their first innings at 448 runs for 6 wickets, only to be outdone by Bangladesh’s impressive 565 runs in their first innings. Pakistan’s second innings collapse, being bowled out for 146 runs, paved the way for Bangladesh to secure victory with a target of just 30 runs, which they achieved without losing a wicket.

The series between Pakistan and Bangladesh under the ICC World Test Championship has proven to be intense, with unexpected outcomes and strict enforcement of rules by the governing body.
