The innovative idea proposed by the Chief Minister to ease the traffic problems in the Hyderabad metropolis has now become a hot topic of interest. CM Revanth Reddy has ordered a thorough exploration into utilizing the transgender community as volunteers in traffic management. The CM envisions that this initiative will not only empower the transgender community by offering employment opportunities and fostering societal respect but also present a novel approach to resolving the city’s traffic challenges.
Furthermore, CM Revanth has instructed officials to devise measures to provide employment opportunities for the transgender community akin to the roles of home guards. During a review of the city’s development progress, cleanliness, and infrastructure projects under the GHMC, the Chief Minister closely scrutinized the performance of contractors involved in tendered works. He emphasized that contractors displaying negligence must face stringent repercussions and ensure timely completion of road development, footpath construction, and related tasks.
In a bid to enhance accountability, the CM mandated a comprehensive report on errant contractors within a 15-day timeframe. Any officials found submitting false reports will face disciplinary actions. Amid ongoing infrastructure developments across Hyderabad, CM Revanth emphasized the importance of adherence to schedules for project completion. Notably, he directed officials to explore integrating the transgender community as volunteers to streamline traffic operations, offering them stable employment prospects akin to home guards.
