Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda appealed to the Punjab government to pay the dues of the hospitals as soon as possible. On Friday, he made a post on social media platform X, stressing the significance of addressing this issue promptly. Nadda underscored the essential support the Ayushman Bharat scheme provides to numerous families, especially hardworking farmers who depend on it for healthcare assistance.
In a tweet directed at CM Mann, Union Minister JP Nadda urged immediate action to settle the outstanding amount of Rs 600 crore, considering the welfare of those reliant on the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Expressing concern over the delay in clearing dues, Nadda criticized the state government for its failure to fulfill its obligations.
Nadda reiterated the purpose of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in offering medical treatment facilities to economically disadvantaged families and urged CM Bhagwant Mann to prioritize the payment of hospital dues for the benefit of the underprivileged. Emphasizing the potential impact on access to healthcare for the common people, Nadda highlighted the repercussions of delayed payments on medical services.
The disruption in cashless treatment by private hospitals and nursing home associations in Punjab under various health insurance schemes, including Ayushman Bharat Yojana, has further intensified the urgency of resolving the dues issue. Union Minister JP Nadda’s call for immediate action from the Punjab government underscores the critical need to release the pending payments without delay.
