Heavy Rains Forecasted in Telangana State: Precautions Advised by Meteorological Department

According to the weather conditions in Telangana state, rains are likely to occur in many places within the next three hours. Moderate to heavy rains are expected in many districts of the state. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in districts like Bhupalapalli, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagar Kurnool, Medak, Narayanapet, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Sangareddy, Suryapet, Vikarabad, Vanaparthi, Bhuvanagiri. The Meteorological Department has warned people to be alert to weather changes in these districts. Light rains may occur in these areas. Although the rains are likely to be normal, moderate rains are also predicted at some places. There are also chances of crop damage in many places due to rains.

There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Malkajgiri, and Nalgonda districts. People should take proper precautions as there are indications of heavy rains in these areas. If the rains are heavy, there are chances of waterlogging in the low-lying areas, water logging on the roads, and traffic problems. Especially in Hyderabad city, due to the impact of rains, congestion on the roads will increase, and traffic may be blocked at important junctions. So it is better for people to plan early rather than late while traveling. It is necessary to heed the warnings issued by the Meteorological Department and act cautiously. It is advised not to go out for work other than emergencies. Heavy rains can lead to power outages, so precautions should be taken in advance.

The concerned departments of the government are taking pre-emptive measures to prevent problems arising due to rains. The people of the low-lying areas are advised to be prepared to face the flood situation. Farmers should take appropriate measures to protect crops. Farmers need to make advance plans to protect the crops keeping in mind the possibility of rains affecting the crops. In such rainy conditions, water sources like rivers, ponds, ponds, and canals are likely to be flooded so people should be careful. Meteorological department officials warn people to watch the current conditions carefully and be alert.
