The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of impending heavy rains in various districts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, North Central Maharashtra, and surrounding areas. The weather forecast indicates that regions such as Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and North Bangladesh are expected to experience rainfall due to the trough extending to a height of 5.8 km above sea level. Officials from the Meteorological Department have highlighted the likelihood of moderate to heavy rains in specific districts, with Adilabad, Komaram Bhim, Manchiryala, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagityala, Rajanna Sirisilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Mahabubabad, Warangal, and Hanumakonda being mentioned.
The alert extends to both Telugu states, with a yellow warning issued for multiple districts. Additionally, Andhra Pradesh is predicted to receive heavy rainfall following recent flooding incidents in Vijayawada and other areas. The impact of the low pressure systems in the North West Bay of Bengal could result in continued rains across North Coast Andhra, affecting regions like Kakinada, Kadapa, and West Godavari.
As the situation unfolds, officials advise residents to stay vigilant as gusty winds, thunderstorms, and lightning are expected to accompany the rainfall. The ongoing weather patterns suggest a prolonged period of precipitation, posing potential risks to agricultural lands and infrastructure in the affected regions.
