The wait is finally over! After mesmerizing audiences with her intense performance in Bhaagmathie (2018), lady superstar Anushka Shetty is all set to return in a much-anticipated sequel. Director Ashok, who delivered the psychological thriller that had fans glued to their seats, has officially confirmed that Bhaagmathie 2 is in the works.
“We are planning to make Bhaagmathie 2, and it will have a bigger canvas,” says Ashok. He adds that Anushka Shetty, who brilliantly portrayed IAS officer Chanchala Reddy in the first film, will be seen in an even more powerful and intriguing avatar. The sequel promises to elevate the stakes with a gripping storyline and a larger-than-life portrayal of Anushka’s character.
In the original, Anushka’s character, Chanchala Reddy, finds herself trapped in a haunted mansion while being interrogated by law enforcement investigating a politician involved in a corruption case. As mysterious and eerie occurrences unfold in the palace, Chanchala’s true strength emerges, captivating the audience. What new challenges await her in Bhaagmathie 2? Only time will tell.
