In a ceremonial event that showcased the rich traditions of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu presented exquisite silk cloths to Tirumala Srivara on behalf of the state government. This presentation was part of the grand festivities for the Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavam, a significant annual event dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, held at the famous Tirumala temple.

The event unfolded between 5:45 PM and 6:00 PM, with a scientific flag hoisting ceremony taking place at Meenalagnam. CM Chandrababu Naidu, along with his wife, offered the silk cloths to the deity, marking the 14th time he has made this offering on behalf of the state government. Following the ceremony, the Chief Minister arrived at the Bedi Anjaneyaswamy temple at 7:55 PM, continuing the age-old tradition of honoring the deity.

After presenting the silk garments, a grand procession featuring mangala instruments made its way from the Bedi Anjaneyaswamy temple to the Srivari temple. At the temple’s main gate, Chandrababu Naidu was welcomed by TTD Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao and Additional EO C.H. Venkaiah Chaudhary, who accompanied him throughout the visit.

The Chief Minister and his entourage paid their respects at various sacred sites within the temple complex, including Vakulamatha, Vimana Venkateswaraswamy, and Bhashyakarla Sannidhi, concluding their visit at Yoga Narasimhaswamy. Following the temple rituals, Vedic scholars performed blessings through the chanting of Vedic mantras in the Ranganayakula Mandapam.

The EO also presented the teerthaprasadas of Srivari to the CM, further solidifying the spiritual significance of the event. CM Naidu was accompanied by the State Debt and Charities Minister Anam Ram Narayana Reddy, along with numerous officials and MLAs, underscoring the importance of the occasion for the state and its cultural heritage.

This event not only highlights the deep-rooted religious traditions of Andhra Pradesh but also reflects the government’s commitment to preserving and promoting these customs.
