The future of Telugu cinema is here, and it’s powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cutting-edge VFX! Young Tollywood filmmakers are pushing the boundaries of creativity, using advanced technology to raise the bar in storytelling, set design, and even the way actors are portrayed on screen. One striking example is the highly anticipated film Kalki 2898 AD, where AI and VFX were used to digitally de-age legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, making him look younger and more vibrant than ever before.
Abhishek Nama, the producer of the upcoming film Devil, is a strong advocate of AI in filmmaking. “Everything is going to change by embracing AI and digital de-aging technology. It will revolutionize every aspect of movie-making in the days to come,” he shared. Nama himself has embraced AI wholeheartedly, using it to create pre-Independence era sets for Devil. After completing a crash course in Artificial Intelligence, Nama was able to design intricate, historically accurate sets, artifacts, and diverse locations with AI software. “Our storyboard was loaded with splendid visuals that authentically replicated the pre-Independence era,” he added.
But AI’s influence in Telugu cinema doesn’t stop at set design. Filmmakers are now using AI to compose entire songs, selecting the raga, orchestration, and even matching lyrics to create the perfect musical experience. With AI taking the reins, the creative possibilities in Tollywood are now endless, and the pace of technological evolution shows no signs of slowing down.
As AI continues to transform the landscape of Telugu cinema, industry experts predict that this revolutionary approach will soon become the norm. From de-aging actors to creating stunning digital worlds, Tollywood is at the forefront of this technological revolution, and it’s thrilling fans and filmmakers alike.
With young filmmakers eager to embrace these innovations, the future of Tollywood is not just bright—it’s digitally enhanced!
