Tirumala is abuzz with spiritual fervor as the Navaratri Brahmotsavam is being celebrated with grandeur and devotion. Among the most significant events of the festival is the Garuda Vahanaseva, set to take place tomorrow from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM. This sacred event, held in honor of Lord Srinivasa, is expected to draw crowds of devotees who come to witness the majestic procession of the Garuda Vahana.
In anticipation of this massive influx, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials and Tirupati district police have implemented extensive security and logistical arrangements. As thousands of pilgrims are expected to flood the streets, extra measures have been put in place to ensure their safety and comfort. To manage traffic efficiently, two-wheelers are prohibited on Kanuma roads from midnight today, and special parking facilities have been set up at Alipiri.
TTD Executive Officer Shyamala Rao stated that preparations have been meticulously made for the Garuda Seva. The Madaveedhu gallery, which can accommodate around two lakh devotees, has been arranged to provide the best possible view of the procession. Queue lines and pathways have been structured to allow a smooth flow of devotees to and from the gallery. Throughout the event, food, milk, and buttermilk will be distributed to devotees to ensure their comfort.
Additionally, TV screens are being set up in and around Madaveedhu for those outside the primary viewing area to experience the Garuda Seva live. On the security front, Tirupati SP Subbarayudu confirmed that five thousand police officers will be deployed to prevent any untoward incidents. The entire Tirumala area will be under strict CCTV surveillance to maintain a peaceful environment for the devotees.
Parking remains a significant concern, with facilities available for only 8,000 vehicles in Tirumala. To address this, five designated parking points have been established in Tirupati to accommodate the overflow. Aside from the Garuda Seva, the cultural and spiritual performances during the Brahmotsavam are a special attraction, offering a feast for the eyes and soul of the devotees who gather in Tirumala.
The Navaratri Brahmotsavam at Tirumala not only represents a spiritual occasion but also showcases the unity and dedication of countless devotees who flock to the sacred site. With elaborate arrangements and vibrant festivities, the Garuda Seva promises to be a memorable and uplifting experience for all who attend.
