Team India’s star cricketer, KL Rahul, has once again demonstrated his compassion and generosity. Known for his on-field prowess and off-field benevolence, Rahul has made headlines for funding the education of Amrit Mavinakatte, a bright student from Bagalkot. This act marks the second consecutive year that Rahul has financially supported Amrit’s studies, ensuring that he can pursue his academic dreams without the burden of financial constraints.
Amrit Mavinakatte, hailing from Mahalingapuram in Bagalkot district, is a remarkable student who, despite facing severe financial hardships, secured a seat at BVB College in Hubli. Affiliated with KLE Technological University, the college provided Amrit with the opportunity for higher education. However, the costs associated with his studies were challenging for his family. When Rahul became aware of Amrit’s situation, he immediately stepped in, covering his tuition fees for the first year. Now, true to his promise, Rahul has also paid the second-year fees, amounting to INR 75,000.
Amrit, who scored an impressive 571 out of 600 in his PUC exams, expressed his heartfelt gratitude during an interview in Hubli. “Last year, KL Rahul helped me get admission to college. He promised to support my second year as well, and he has fulfilled that promise. I am thankful to KL Rahul, Manjunath Hebasuru, and Nithin for their continued financial support,” said Amrit.
This isn’t the first time Rahul has extended a helping hand to those in need. Previously, he assisted a student from Siddeshwara Colony in Dharwad, once again highlighting his commitment to supporting education and empowering students from underprivileged backgrounds. Social worker Manjunath Hebasuru, instrumental in connecting Amrit with Rahul, praised the cricketer’s willingness to help. With assistance from Nithin, the three of them ensured that Amrit’s dreams of higher education could come to fruition.
