In an exciting development for tourism in Andhra Pradesh, State Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Nukasani Balaji has unveiled ambitious plans to transform Lambasingi into a premier tourist destination. Often called the “Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh,” Lambasingi is famous for its breathtaking landscapes, cool climate, and rare occurrence of snowfall, making it a popular spot for nature lovers.
During his recent visit to Lambasingi, Balaji outlined a significant investment of ₹154 crore dedicated to enhancing the area’s infrastructure. This substantial funding will go toward building a shopping complex, a tourist information center, and various parks, all aimed at providing a memorable experience for visitors.
Balaji highlighted that the previous administration had neglected the tourism sector, an oversight the alliance government is keen to address. “We are committed to promoting tourism with a renewed focus on sustainable development and transparency. Any construction projects initiated without proper tenders will be canceled to ensure accountability,” he stated.
Balaji expressed confidence that Lambasingi’s unique charm and occasional snowfall would attract more tourists in the coming years. The planned infrastructure enhancements will aim to accommodate these visitors and showcase the natural beauty of Lambasingi more effectively.
Moreover, the chairman discussed broader plans for tourism in Andhra Pradesh, capitalizing on the state’s extensive 974-kilometer coastline. Balaji emphasized that with strategic initiatives, Andhra Pradesh has the potential to become a top choice for both domestic and international travelers.
The new projects in Lambasingi will not only boost local tourism but also generate revenue, creating a positive ripple effect across the state. As Andhra Pradesh gears up to enhance its tourism appeal, Lambasingi is set to become a must-visit destination, drawing visitors eager to experience its serene beauty and unique weather.
