Actor Rajkumar Rao is riding high on the success of his latest hit, Stree 2, which has become a massive box-office sensation. However, despite his soaring career, Rao recently revealed that his financial situation isn’t as glamorous as many assume. During an interview on the popular YouTube show Unfiltered with Samdish, the actor candidly discussed his ongoing financial commitments and misconceptions about his wealth.
“I am still paying the EMI for my house,” Rao shared. “I am not that rich that I can go to a car showroom and buy a car worth 6 crore. Honestly, I don’t have as much money as people think. It’s not like I have 100 crores lying around. I have to think about EMI payments and all,” he added with a smile.
Rao explained that while he can comfortably buy a car worth 20 lakh, he has to carefully consider anything beyond that. He joked, “50 lakh ka bhi sochna padta hai. [I have to think twice before buying a car worth 50 lakh].” His candidness has struck a chord with fans, who appreciate his grounded perspective despite his rising fame.
Meanwhile, Rajkumar Rao’s latest release, Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, is currently showing in theaters, featuring an ensemble cast including Triptii Dimri, Vijay Raaz, and Mallika Sherawat. Rao’s fans are eager to see his nuanced performance in yet another unique role, further solidifying his place as one of Bollywood’s most versatile actors.
