Michael Jackson Biopic ‘Michael’ Release Pushed to October 2025

Fans of the legendary “King of Pop” will have to wait a bit longer to experience the highly anticipated biopic Michael, as the release has been rescheduled to October 3, 2025. Originally slated for April 18, 2025, Michael will chronicle the extraordinary life and career of Michael Jackson, exploring his iconic journey, influence on pop culture, and unparalleled musical legacy.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, Michael stars Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew, in the title role, capturing the King of Pop’s charisma and complex story. The film also features a stellar supporting cast, including Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo. With a screenplay by John Logan and production by Graham King—known for his work on Bohemian Rhapsody, which earned Rami Malek an Academy Award—Michael promises to deliver an in-depth portrayal of Jackson’s impact on music and culture.

Early footage of Michael was previewed at CinemaCon, where producer Graham King hinted at an impressive runtime to accommodate Jackson’s journey and legacy. The biopic will include over 30 of Jackson’s most beloved songs, celebrating his music and life in a way that fans have been eagerly awaiting.
