At a recent business conclave, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced the Andhra Pradesh government’s ambitious plan to achieve a 15% growth rate, building on the state’s prior success of 13.5% growth during the 2014-2019 period under the Telugu Desam government. The Chief Minister emphasized that this target is attainable with strategic policies and initiatives focused on wealth generation and distribution to uplift the living standards of people across the state.
In his address, CM Naidu highlighted the “Swarnandhra Pradesh Vision-2047,” an aspirational plan to transform AP into a Golden State by the year 2047. This vision, presented at a task force committee meeting at the Secretariat, is co-chaired by industry leaders, including Tata Sons chairman N. Chandrasekaran, alongside government officials, ministers, and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) representatives. The committee explored strategies for growth in key sectors, with a focus on leveraging AP’s abundant natural and human resources, advancing infrastructure, and embracing technology.
Naidu emphasized the role of technology and youth empowerment in this journey, saying, “Technology is now more advanced. If we give opportunities to youth, we will see incredible results.” He noted that Andhra Pradesh’s natural resources, skilled workforce, and infrastructure provide a solid foundation to build a robust economy. The state government aims to create new economic opportunities and increase wealth, ensuring that the benefits are equitably distributed to raise the quality of life for all citizens.
This meeting, attended by top industrialists and stakeholders, marks the first step toward realizing the Swarnandhra Pradesh vision. By fostering strong public-private partnerships and promoting an innovation-driven economy, AP is set to become a leading state for industrial and economic development.
