Union Home Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar visited Nagpur on November 13, where he was actively campaigning for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. During this visit, he made striking accusations against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Telangana government. In a press briefing, Bandi Sanjay criticized Telangana’s governance and warned the people of Maharashtra about what he referred to as deceptive political maneuvers.

Allegations Against Telangana’s Caste Enumeration Program

A major point of contention in Bandi Sanjay’s speech was the caste enumeration program initiated by the Telangana government. He alleged that the program, introduced by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is a ploy to manipulate people’s property under the guise of social justice. Bandi Sanjay claimed that the enumeration initiative is aimed at economically exploiting the state’s citizens and accused the Telangana administration of a “15 percent commission regime” wherein significant state revenues are siphoned off.

“The people of Telangana are being looted,” Bandi Sanjay stated, highlighting that the government’s promises, including six major guarantees made during the election campaign, remain unfulfilled.

Concerns Over Minority Reservation

Bandi Sanjay also touched upon the topic of minority reservations in Telangana. Referring to a recent Supreme Court ruling that struck down certain provisions of Muslim reservations, he accused the Telangana government of attempting to circumvent the law through alternative policies. He cautioned voters in Maharashtra, saying that the Telangana government’s promises for minority reservations were part of a larger strategy to mislead communities for political gain.

Warnings About Financial Misuse Across State Lines

In an additional critique, Bandi Sanjay accused the Telangana government of diverting state funds into Maharashtra for campaign advertisements, thereby misusing Telangana’s resources in another state’s elections. “All the money from Telangana is being spent in Maharashtra to sway voters,” he claimed, asserting that resources meant for Telangana’s development are being redirected for political campaigns outside the state.

Historical Call to Action for Maharashtra Voters

Appealing to Maharashtra’s voters, Bandi Sanjay invoked the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, encouraging them to resist what he described as the “Congress conspiracy.” He urged them to safeguard their state from what he called “manipulative schemes” similar to those in Telangana.

Visit to RSS Headquarters in Nagpur

As part of his visit to Nagpur, Bandi Sanjay also made a stop at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters, located in the heart of Nagpur. Accompanied by Adilabad MLA Payal Shankar, he engaged in lengthy discussions with RSS officials, indicating the strategic alliances forming in preparation for the upcoming elections. The visit highlights the BJP’s deep-rooted connection with the RSS, with both organizations coordinating efforts to strengthen their influence in Maharashtra.

A Growing Tension Between Telangana and Maharashtra Politics

With Bandi Sanjay’s outspoken criticisms, the Telangana government may face added scrutiny, especially regarding its caste enumeration program and promises made to minority groups. The allegations also highlight the BJP’s concern over the potential influence of Telangana’s ruling party on Maharashtra’s electorate.

As the Maharashtra Assembly elections approach, these developments are likely to spark further political debates, and Bandi Sanjay’s statements may play a role in shaping voter perspectives across Maharashtra. The fourth season of Unstoppable with NBK has also drawn attention as a potential platform for political figures to voice their perspectives in public.
