India’s tri-services exercise Poorvi Prahar, a high-intensity military drill involving the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, is currently underway in the forward areas of Arunachal Pradesh along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Launched on November 10, this large-scale exercise is set to conclude on November 18. Poorvi Prahar focuses on honing the combat skills and operational readiness of Indian forces in one of the country’s most strategically sensitive regions.

This exercise aims to strengthen inter-service coordination and boost the forces’ ability to conduct integrated operations in the mountainous terrain of Arunachal Pradesh. By bringing together multiple military platforms and systems, Poorvi Prahar showcases India’s advancements in modern warfare technology and its capacity to execute complex, multi-domain operations across land, air, and sea.

Senior officials highlight that Poorvi Prahar underscores India’s commitment to maintaining a robust defence posture along its Eastern frontier, particularly given the evolving regional dynamics. This joint exercise reinforces India’s strategic deterrence capabilities and demonstrates its adaptability in high-altitude operations, crucial for safeguarding the nation’s borders.

The exercise not only enhances combat readiness but also strengthens the synergy between the three branches of the armed forces. Through initiatives like Poorvi Prahar, India continues to demonstrate its focus on security and preparedness along the LAC, signaling its determination to defend and uphold its sovereignty in the region.
