Actress Sangeeta, widely recognized for her role as Seethamahalakshmi in the blockbuster Khadgam, is once again lighting up the Tollywood screen. Hailing from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Sangeeta entered the film industry in 1997, working across Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu films. Despite her early career in Telugu, true recognition came with Khadgam, directed by Krishna Vamsi in 2002. Sangeeta’s portrayal of a village girl became iconic, establishing her as a sought-after actress in Tollywood.
Following Khadgam, she quickly became a fan favorite with films like Pellam Urelithe, Shivaputrudu, Nenu Pelliki Ready, Vijayendra Varma, Khushikhushiga, and Sankranti. However, while her career was thriving, Sangeeta chose to prioritize her personal life and married Tamil playback singer Krish in 2009 at the scenic Arunachaleswara Temple in Tiruvannamalai.
Return to Films and TV Shows
After a long break, Sangeeta made a return to acting, now shining as a supporting actress. Her portrayal of Rashmika Mandanna’s mother in Sarileru Neekevvaru brought her back into the limelight, charming audiences with her comic timing. She also appeared in a song alongside Megastar Chiranjeevi in Acharya and played a significant role in Vijay’s Varasudu. Adding to her diverse roles, she starred in Vijay Antony’s Tamilarasan (Vikram Rathore in Telugu).
Sangeeta has expanded her presence beyond films, joining popular TV shows like Jabardasth and Sridevi Drama Company, connecting with fans on a personal level and gaining a new fan base.
