Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has emphasized the alliance government’s dedication to setting Andhra Pradesh back on track while addressing the state Budget in the Assembly on Friday. Naidu clarified that the government’s goal is not to achieve everything overnight but to ensure systems are restructured effectively for long-term success.
Budget Highlights Amid Challenges
Rounding off the discussion on the state Budget, Naidu proudly announced that the budget estimates for the fiscal year have reached ₹2.94 lakh crore, surpassing last year’s figures.
“We have managed to come up with a good budget amid challenging circumstances,” Naidu remarked.
He also addressed issues concerning social media, stating that legislation will soon be enacted to tackle disruptive behavior online, labeling such actors as “social media psychos.”

Chandrababu Naidu’s recent visit to Delhi yielded promising results for Andhra Pradesh:
- Interlinking Godavari and Pennar Rivers: The Centre has approved Naidu’s ambitious proposal, which is expected to boost water resources in the state and drive development in backward regions like Rayalaseema.
- Reviving Amaravati’s Construction: The Centre has agreed to bring Singapore back as a partner in the development of Amaravati, the state’s capital city.
- Polavaram Project Acceleration: Union ministers assured fast-tracked support for the Polavaram irrigation project, a lifeline for Andhra Pradesh.
