India’s cricket captain Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh have been blessed with their second child, a baby boy. The joyous news came on Friday night as Ritika delivered the baby at a local hospital. The couple already has a daughter, Samaira, born in 2018.

Rohit, who stayed back in India to be with his wife during this special time, did not travel to Australia with the Indian squad for the upcoming Test series. With the Perth Test against Australia starting on November 22, there is growing speculation about whether Rohit will join the team in time to play.

While head coach Gautam Gambhir remains optimistic about Rohit’s participation, it remains unclear whether the captain can prepare adequately with just a couple of practice sessions. However, given the team’s current need for stability at the top order, Rohit’s presence could be crucial.

India’s top-order batting lineup has shown signs of fragility in recent matches, making Rohit’s leadership and batting prowess even more critical. Fans and cricket experts alike are eagerly awaiting updates on whether the skipper will take the field in Perth.

For now, the Indian cricketing community extends its heartfelt congratulations to Rohit and Ritika on this wonderful addition to their family.

Stay tuned for more updates on Rohit Sharma’s participation in the Test series Down Under.
