PM Modi Lauds Tribal Culture and Highlights Global Fame of Araku Coffee

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address during the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Jamui, Bihar, emphasized the importance of preserving tribal culture while praising the global success of Araku coffee.

Araku Coffee: Andhra’s Gift to the World

Renowned for its exceptional aroma and flavor, Araku coffee is cultivated by the dedicated tribal farmers of Andhra Pradesh. The Prime Minister highlighted its international acclaim, noting its presence at prestigious events like the G20 Summit, where it represented India’s rich heritage.

Tributes to Tribal Development

PM Modi applauded the leadership of ASR district ITDA officer Abhishek, who has been instrumental in delivering critical services to tribal communities, including:

  • Distribution of Ayushman Bharat cards to ensure healthcare access.
  • Allocation of over 22,000 houses under the PM JANMAN scheme to provide shelter to tribal families.

Empowering Tribals in Andhra Pradesh

The event also showcased an inspiring gesture from the tribals of Kottabhallu Guda, Andhra Pradesh, who presented an album to the Prime Minister. The album documented various development initiatives in their villages, such as:

  • Implementation of drinking water projects to enhance quality of life.
  • Other transformative programs that are fostering progress and sustainability in tribal regions.
