Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia hailed the recent TV9 network program in Stuttgart, Germany, as historic, marking the first time such an event was held at a football ground in the city. Scindia emphasized that sports are not just about competition but also about building teams and partnerships, fostering relationships between people. He noted that this event is a symbolic representation of the growing bond between India and Germany, nations that are geographically far apart but united by common principles of innovation and development.

Scindia pointed out that Germany is known for its engineering excellence, with iconic brands like Porsche and Mercedes Benz originating from Stuttgart. He drew a parallel with India’s progress, highlighting the country’s dynamic transformation over the last decade. With 70 percent of India’s population under 35, Scindia believes that India and Germany together can set an example for the world in terms of collaboration and growth.

The minister also spoke about the substantial growth of the Indian community in Germany. In 1920, the Indian population in Germany was just a few hundred, but today it has grown into the lakhs, demonstrating the increasing global presence and influence of India. Scindia further emphasized that 50,000 Indian students are currently studying in Germany, strengthening the educational and cultural exchange between the two countries.

He noted that India’s remarkable achievements over the past decade, particularly under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, have proven the country’s capabilities. Telecom advancements have been particularly notable, with internet users rising from 250 million to 970 million and mobile subscribers reaching 1.16 billion.

Scindia also recalled the significant cultural exchange between India and Germany, citing Rabindranath Tagore’s frequent visits to Germany, where he invited scholars and philosophers to visit Santiniketan, fostering the exchange of ideas and literature between the two nations.

In addition, Scindia mentioned the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme announced in this year’s Union Budget, which offers 1.25 lakh students the opportunity to intern with major companies across India. This initiative, he believes, will further solidify the India-Germany partnership, contributing to global progress.

The Union Minister concluded by reiterating India’s philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family), showcasing the country’s commitment to working together with global partners like Germany for mutual growth and prosperity.
