Hydra Commissioner AV Ranganath Denies Buffer Zone Allegations About His Residence

Hydra Commissioner AV Ranganath has firmly addressed the social media controversy surrounding his house in Hyderabad’s Mathuranagar. Responding to rumors claiming his property lies within a buffer zone, Ranganath declared these reports entirely baseless and an attempt to mislead the public.

Speaking to the media, he explained that his residence was constructed 44 years ago by his father, APV Subbaiah, and he continues to live there alongside his family. “Our house is located beyond thousands of houses below Krishnakanth Park,” he stated, emphasizing that the erstwhile pond was converted into Krishnakanth Park over 25 years ago.

Clarifying Buffer Zone Allegations

Ranganath explained that irrigation rules classify areas within 10 meters of a pond embankment as buffer zones. However, his home is situated far beyond this boundary. He also pointed out that the Katta Maisamma temple, traditionally located near pond embankments, is one kilometer away from his house, further dispelling claims about the buffer zone.

He expressed frustration over deliberate attempts to spread false information and urged the public to examine factual evidence, including photographs of the area. “If the facts are like this, some people are trying to mislead the public with false information,” he said.

Historical Context of the House

The Commissioner shed light on the historical significance of his residence, which was built in 1980 by his father. Ranganath highlighted that the house has been a part of the family’s cultural and traditional fabric for decades.

“This house, built by my father 44 years ago, is not just a residence but a symbol of our heritage. People should be cautious about accepting misinformation without verification,” he added.

A Call for Clarity

Ranganath urged the public and media to refrain from spreading unfounded rumors that could mislead people. He stressed the importance of verifying facts before drawing conclusions and appealed for responsible use of social media.

By addressing these allegations directly, the Hydra Commissioner has taken a firm stance against misinformation and set a clear example of transparency and accountability.
