A one-of-a-kind millet-art exhibition by Visakhapatnam-based artist Moka Vijay Kumar began on Sunday, January 5, at the Visakha Museum on Beach Road. This three-day event features 13 stunning frames, each measuring 4ft x 3ft, portraying key moments from the life of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
The exhibition was inaugurated by V. Prabhu Kishore, Chairman of Varun Group, who lauded Mr. Vijay Kumar’s exceptional work. He remarked, “Mr. Vijay Kumar has brought a special identity to Visakhapatnam through his millet-based artworks.”
Mr. Vijay Kumar, inspired by a speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been creating millet artworks for over a year and a half. He expressed his passion for promoting millets, not only as a medium for art but also as a vital component of a healthy diet.
The artworks on display chronicle pivotal moments in Donald Trump’s life, including:
- His childhood and education
- His interest in sports
- His marriage and business successes
- The gunshot incidents during his campaign
- His eventual victory in the U.S. Presidential election for a second term
Mr. Vijay Kumar also shared his aspiration to present these artworks to Donald Trump as a gift from India. He believes this gesture could bring global attention to millet art and promote awareness about the health benefits of incorporating millets into daily diets.
The exhibition not only celebrates creativity but also emphasizes the importance of millets as a sustainable and nutritious food choice. Visitors are encouraged to explore the intricate artwork and learn more about the health and environmental benefits of millets.
The exhibition is open until January 7 and is expected to draw art enthusiasts and health-conscious individuals alike.
