Andhra Pradesh Constable Physical Fitness Tests Postponed in Several Districts
The Andhra Pradesh Constable recruitment process is undergoing physical fitness tests across the state, but recent developments have led to a postponement of several scheduled events. The Physical Measurement Tests (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET), initially planned for January 8 to 10, have been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances in various districts, including Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anantapur, and Chittoor.
Updated Dates for Postponed Events:
- Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Visakhapatnam: Tests postponed to January 11.
- Anantapur: Tests rescheduled to January 17, 18, and 20.
- Chittoor: Tests rescheduled to January 17 and 18.
This rescheduling follows the announcement made by the Chairman of the Police Recruitment Board, M. Raviprakash, on January 5, who attributed the changes to the Vaikuntha Ekadashi celebrations and local law and order concerns.
Candidates who were initially scheduled for the affected dates must attend on the new dates mentioned in the notification. The physical fitness tests will continue across all 13 joint district centers in Andhra Pradesh until February 1, 2025.
Important Reminders for Candidates:
- Bring your Call Letter: Ensure that you attend on the correct date and time mentioned in your call letter.
- No Entry Without Timely Arrival: Late arrivals will not be allowed to take the tests.
- In Case of Doubts: Contact the helpline at 9441450639 or 9100203323 between 10 am to 6 pm for any queries regarding the process.
This recruitment drive is part of the larger initiative to fill 6,100 police constable vacancies across the state. Over 4.5 lakh candidates have already appeared for the preliminary exams, and 95,209 have been selected for the physical fitness tests.
Stay updated and prepare well for the rescheduled physical tests!
