AP issues a five-day heavy rain alert

A five-day weather warning was issued by the IMD, predicting a period of intense rain, thunderstorms, and strong surface winds in some parts of AP and Yanam.

On the first day, isolated areas across Yanam, the South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP), and the North Coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP) are predicted to see intense rain. Additionally, lightning-accompanied thunderstorms should be expected in the area. There may probably be isolated instances of strong surface winds in NCAP, Yanam, SCAP, and Rayalaseema, with speeds of 30 to 40 km/h.

Day 2 and Day 3 see more of the same weather, with heavy rain expected in isolated areas over Yanam and NCAP. All around NCAP, thunderstorms with lightning are predicted.
