The well-defined low-pressure area shifted northwest and was located over interior Odisha and neighboring Chhattisgarh on Sunday.
According to a report from IMD Amaravati, it is expected to continue moving northwest across Chhattisgarh and gradually weaken into a low-pressure area within the next 12 hours. The monsoon trough at mean sea level now extends from Jaisalmer to Kota, Guna, Mandla, and the center of the well-marked low-pressure area over interior Odisha and adjacent Chhattisgarh, then southeastward to the east-central Bay of Bengal.
As a result of this system, isolated thunderstorms with lightning are anticipated in northern and southern coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. The IMD also forecasted strong surface winds, reaching speeds of 30-40 km/h, in isolated areas of the same region over the next three days.
