Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to cease the practice of transporting hospital-bound women in Dolis (palanquins) in the tribal regions of Andhra Pradesh. Instead, feeder ambulances will be reintroduced in these areas. Additionally, he has called for the reopening of dormitories for pregnant women, which were previously provided by the Telugu Desam government but later closed. Naidu has also mandated officials to arrange an International Tribal Day next month.

During a review meeting at the state secretariat in Velagapudi, Amaravati, the Chief Minister assessed the current status of education, medical services, and welfare programs for tribal communities. He criticized the previous YSRC government for derailing initiatives that were in place from 2014 to 2019, such as NTR Vidyonnathi, Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi, and Best Available Schools aimed at tribal students. Naidu expressed disappointment that the feeder ambulances established for tribal healthcare had been discontinued over the past five years.

Furthermore, Naidu raised concerns about the marketing of Araku coffee, emphasizing his initial focus on promoting this product and other tribal goods. His upcoming event to distribute old-age pensions at Gundumala village in Madakasira mandal, Sri Satya Sai district, on August 1 will have restricted access, permitting only villagers and elected representatives to attend.
