In a recent development that may affect consumers planning to purchase Apple products or iPhones, HDFC Bank, the country’s largest private bank, has decided to terminate its partnership with Apple after a successful 5-year collaboration. This decision has led to the discontinuation of special offers and discounts that were previously available on Apple products through HDFC Bank, excluding iPhones.

Customers who were eagerly anticipating festive season sales from HDFC Bank for Apple products will now be disappointed to learn that they will not receive any exclusive deals during this period. The end of this partnership has left many wondering where to find alternative offers for Apple products besides the iPhone.

HDFC Bank Group Head, Parag Rao, mentioned in a Times of India report that the financial aspects of the partnership are under review. While emphasizing the positive relationship between the two entities over the years, Rao hinted at the need to reassess the collaboration. Previously, HDFC Bank provided cashback and EMI facilities on Apple products through credit cards, a service that is currently unavailable.

Apple, on the other hand, continues to offer cashback and EMI options through agreements with other banks such as American Express, Axis Bank, and ICICI Bank. Rao highlighted Apple’s expanding partnerships with various banks and expressed the importance of strategic collaborations in the rapidly evolving market.

Looking ahead, Rao assured customers that HDFC Bank is prepared for the upcoming festive season, expecting a surge in deposit and credit growth despite the recent changes in partnerships.
