APSRTC to Recruit 7,545 Posts: Major Job Notification Expected Soon

Amaravati, November 22: The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is gearing up for a massive recruitment drive. During a recent program, RTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana Rao revealed plans to fill more than 7,000 vacancies, providing a significant employment boost in the state.

Speaking at the event where Sannapureddy Suresh Reddy assumed charge as the RTC Nellore Zonal Chairman on November 21, the Chairman emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing the corporation’s workforce and operational efficiency.

Vacancy Details by Category

The APSRTC has identified 7,545 vacancies across 18 categories, with a detailed breakdown as follows:

  • Drivers: 3,673 posts
  • Conductors: 1,813 posts
  • Junior Assistants: 656 posts
  • Assistant Mechanics/Laborers: 579 posts
  • Traffic Supervisor Trainees: 207 posts
  • Mechanical Supervisor Trainees: 179 posts
  • Deputy Superintendents: 280 posts

The recruitment notification will soon be issued, marking a significant step towards addressing the workforce shortages in APSRTC.

Push for Environmental Initiatives

In addition to recruitment, APSRTC announced plans to purchase electric buses as part of its efforts to adopt environmentally friendly practices. This initiative aligns with the state’s goals to reduce carbon emissions and enhance sustainability in public transport.


Railway ALP Exam Update: Admit Cards Released

In related employment news, the Railway Department has released admit cards for the recruitment of 18,799 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts across various zones. Candidates can download their admit cards by entering their registration number, user password, or date of birth on the official website.

The examination schedule is as follows:

  • Dates: November 25 to November 29
  • Mode: Online Computer-Based Tests (CBT)
  • Selection Process: First Stage CBT-1, Second Stage CBT-2, and Final Computer-Based Aptitude Test

A total of 2,528 posts are allocated for the Secunderabad Railway Zone. This recruitment is a golden opportunity for aspirants seeking a career in the railway sector.
