The Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CEET) December 2024 notification has been officially released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). As part of its bi-annual schedule, the CET exam is conducted twice a year, with the latest round being scheduled for December 2024.
Registration Process:
The registration process for the CEET December 2024 exam commenced on September 17, 2024, and will remain open until October 16, 2024. Interested candidates who wish to pursue a career in teaching are required to meet certain eligibility criteria, including having passed their 12th standard or possessing a relevant degree such as DELED, BED, BELED, or BSCED. The application fees vary based on the category of the applicant, with General/OBC candidates required to pay Rs.1000 for Paper 1 or 2 and Rs.1200 for both papers. SC/ST/Disabled candidates have reduced fees of Rs.500 for Paper 1 or 2 and Rs.600 for both papers.
Exam Procedure:
The CET exam comprises two papers – Paper 1 for teaching classes one to five and Paper 2 for teaching classes six to nine. The validity of the CET score is lifelong and is instrumental in teacher recruitment within Central Government schools. Additionally, the CET score is a significant factor in the District Selection Committee (DSC) examinations conducted at the state level. The exam will be conducted in 20 languages, and examination centers have been established in various locations across Telugu states.
