The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2024 exams are fast approaching, and the education department has confirmed that the exams will be held online from October 3 to 20. The examinations will take place in two sessions daily, with the first session running from 9:30 am to 12 pm and the second session from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. The school education department is diligently preparing for the smooth conduct of these exams.
Candidates who have applied for the TET can expect the hall tickets to be available for download from the official website starting September 22. After the commencement of the exams on October 4th, the preliminary answer keys will be released successively from the following day. Any objections to the keys can be raised starting October 5, with the final answer key set to be published on October 27. The results of the TET will be announced on November 2.
In terms of passing criteria, candidates from the OC (General) category need to score 60 percent or more to pass, while BC candidates require over 50 percent and SC/ST/Ph/X servicemen candidates need a minimum of 40 percent. This year, a record number of 4,27,300 candidates have applied for the TET exam.
The TET exam will consist of 150 questions worth a total of 150 marks, covering sections such as Child Development, Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, and the main subject. There will be no negative marking, and all questions will be multiple-choice.
