- Upma Rava – 1 cup
- Onion – 1, chopped
- Green chili – finely chopped
- Peanuts – a handful
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Urad dal (Minapa pappu) – 1 tsp
- Chickpeas – 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Ginger – 1/2 tsp, chopped
- Asafoetida – a pinch
