Delicious Fig Halwa Recipe: A Sweet Treat for Health and Taste

Halwa is a popular sweet treat enjoyed by many people. This delectable dessert can be prepared in various ways, each offering a unique flavor profile. One such variation is Fig Halwa, which not only satisfies your sweet cravings but also provides health benefits. Figs are known for their nutrient-rich composition, making them a great addition to any dish, especially desserts.

To make Fig Halwa, you will need figs, Koa, sugar or alum jaggery powder, almonds, cashews, ghee, color options, and cardamom powder. Start by washing the figs and soaking them in hot water. Similarly, soak the almonds in hot water and slice them thinly along with the cashews. Once the figs are soft, cut them into pieces and blend them into a smooth paste.

In a kadai, heat some ghee and add the fig paste. Fry the figs until they form a paste-like consistency. Next, add the green Koa and mix well. Depending on your preferred sweetness level, add sugar or alum jaggery powder. For those who desire color, you can use saffron soaked in milk or other food colors. Finally, add cardamom powder, dry fruits, and a little ghee, and mix thoroughly to create the delicious Fig Halwa.
