Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, who has been a part of the film industry for almost 14 years, recently opened up about his personal and health struggles in an emotional interview. Despite entering the industry with high hopes, Arjun’s journey has been filled with challenges, both in his career and personal life.

Health Struggles and Diagnosis:

Arjun Kapoor, who has faced criticism for his performances and a lack of hero roles, revealed that his struggles were not just limited to his career. He shared that he has been battling a rare autoimmune disorder known as Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, which affects the thyroid and can damage various parts of the body. This condition can also lead to weight gain, which added to Arjun’s mental stress. He admitted that his weight issues made him feel more isolated, and he often preferred being alone due to the emotional toll.

Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis is a condition where the body’s immune cells attack the thyroid, leading to various symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, and depression. Arjun expressed how this health problem had a significant impact on his mental state and overall well-being.

Depression and Career Struggles:

In the interview, Arjun also opened up about the depression he experienced, particularly after his films failed at the box office. “I didn’t get opportunities, my films did badly at the box office, and I started feeling like I couldn’t do this anymore,” he confessed. The actor admitted that he had stopped watching movies and even felt disconnected from the world of cinema, which once meant everything to him.

However, Arjun’s path to healing came through therapy. After visiting multiple therapists without success, he finally found a doctor who helped him overcome his depression. He shared that therapy played a key role in his recovery, allowing him to reconnect with himself and his work.

Personal Life and Breakup with Malaika Arora:

Arjun’s personal life, particularly his eight-year live-in relationship with actress Malaika Arora, has often been in the public eye. Despite facing criticism for their relationship, the couple had been together for almost eight years. However, recently, they decided to part ways and are now both single. The couple’s breakup has sparked much speculation and attention, but Arjun has always been candid about his struggles, both personally and professionally.

A New Beginning:

Despite the challenges, Arjun Kapoor is finding his way back. His role as a villain in the recent film Singam Again, alongside Ajay Devgn, earned him praise and opened new doors for him in the film industry. Arjun’s honesty in sharing his health battles, including Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and depression, resonates with many who face similar struggles.

Arjun Kapoor’s story is a reminder that even those who seem to have it all are fighting battles behind closed doors. His journey of self-acceptance and healing is an inspiration to many, showing that it’s okay to struggle and seek help.
