After the unprecedented success of his most recent film, the dystopian sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin in Telugu, Amitabh Bachchan is having a great time. He recently celebrated the movie surpassing the Pathaan box office earnings, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and was released last year.

Amitabh took to X on Saturday morning, retweeting a number of fan-posted tweets asserting that Kalki 2898 AD had surpassed Siddharth Anand’s spy thriller Pathaan, featuring Shah Rukh in the lead role, by crossing the ₹1000 crore global mark. A Prabhas fan shared a footage from SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise and pronounced Prabhas superior when his Kalki 2898 AD defeated Pathaan, one of the tweets he reposted. “Quite amazing,” Amitabh said in the caption.
