In a startling turn of events, Mumbai Police have arrested Sohail Pasha, an aspiring songwriter from Raichur, Karnataka, for allegedly sending threatening messages to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The messages demanded a ransom of ₹5 crore in the name of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and threatened Salman Khan’s life if the amount wasn’t paid. The shocking part? The threats appear to have been part of a bizarre attempt to gain fame for Pasha’s song, “Main Sikandar Hun.”
On November 7, Mumbai Traffic Police’s WhatsApp helpline received a series of messages claiming to be from a Bishnoi gang member, warning that the sender would kill Salman Khan if his demands were not met. The threats also extended to the songwriter of “Main Sikandar Hun,” raising serious concerns about the authenticity and source of the messages. The crime branch swiftly tracked the sender’s location to Raichur, where they arrested Pasha.
According to officials, Pasha confessed to using this ploy to gain recognition for his song. Driven by a desire to make a name in the industry, he allegedly thought that linking his song to a high-profile threat would bring attention to his work.
This incident sheds light on the lengths to which some individuals are willing to go for fame, even resorting to unlawful and dangerous measures. Pasha’s actions have led to his arrest, and he is now facing serious charges for his attempt to gain notoriety. The incident has once again highlighted the critical role of law enforcement in swiftly identifying and addressing threats to public figures.
