The controversy traces back to a 2022 video titled Gangavva Chiluka Panchangam produced by My Village Show, a popular rural-themed YouTube channel. In the video, Gangavva, alongside fellow YouTuber Raju, portrayed astrologers, using a parrot in their skit. However, Adulapuram Gautham, an animal conservation worker associated with the Stray Animal Foundation of India, raised concerns regarding the use of the parrot, alleging violations of the Wildlife Protection Act. Following the complaint, Jagityala Forest Department officials registered a case against both Gangavva and Raju.
As the case gained attention, rumors circulated that Gangavva might be forced to leave the Bigg Boss house. But, in a recent update, officials reported that the case has been closed. The My Village Show team was fined Rs. 25,000 for the oversight, marking an end to the controversy. Anil, a member of the team, clarified that they were unaware of the Wildlife Protection Act at the time and have since removed the Chiluka Josyam video from their YouTube channel.
