In a surprising and heartwarming move, Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi has chosen to postpone the release of his highly anticipated film Vishwambhara to allow his son Ram Charan’s film Game Changer to dominate the screens during the Sankranti festival. The announcement was made by Game Changer producer Dil Raju, who shared a video message expressing gratitude for Chiranjeevi and UV Creations’ considerate gesture.
Dil Raju stated, “Chiranjeevi garu and the team at UV Creations graciously agreed to shift the release date for Vishwambhara. Although the film will complete its production by December, they opted for a different release date to ensure that Game Changer takes the spotlight during Sankranti.” Originally planned for a Christmas release, Game Changer was rescheduled after extensive discussions with distributors. Dil Raju explained that they felt a Sankranti release would offer the film broader reach and appeal for a global audience.
Chiranjeevi’s decision to step aside demonstrates his unwavering support for his son’s ambitious project, which has been in the making for over three years with a significant budget. This father-son collaboration has fans eagerly anticipating both films, as each promises to showcase unique storytelling and memorable performances.
With Vishwambhara now set to be released later in 2024, Chiranjeevi fans will have to wait a bit longer, but they can look forward to an epic showdown on the big screen. In the meantime, Game Changer is poised to capture the hearts of audiences worldwide during the Sankranti celebrations. This father-son bond, both on and off-screen, has created a buzz in Tollywood, and fans can’t wait to see what both movies have in store.
