Choreographer Jani Suspended by Telugu Film Industry Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation have suspended well-known choreographer Shaik Jani, also known as Jani, following his arrest in a sexual assault case. Jani, who has worked on blockbuster films like Baahubali and Pushpa: The Rise, now faces a major setback in his career, which could plummet as a result of these allegations.

Jani had built a stellar reputation in the industry, earning a National Award and being in high demand for his choreography across Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu cinema. However, his recent arrest has cast a shadow over his achievements.

Rajeshwar Reddy, former general secretary of the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation, said, “We suspended him as the president of the dancer’s union immediately after the allegations surfaced. It will be difficult for him to regain his lost glory. He was incredibly busy across different film industries, but this incident could derail his entire career.”

The suspension signals a strict stance by the Telugu film industry against such incidents, further highlighting the growing need for accountability in the entertainment sector. As the investigation continues, the outcome will determine whether Jani can return to the industry or face a complete downfall.
