Prabhas, the beloved “Darling” of Tollywood, has been a fixture in the action genre for years, but director Krishna Vamsi believes there’s much more to his talent. Speaking in a recent interview, Krishna Vamsi shared his thoughts on Prabhas’ career trajectory, especially in light of their collaboration on the film Chakra. Although the film had mixed reviews at the box office, its songs became chart-toppers, and it remains a memorable project for fans.

As Prabhas continues to juggle a lineup of blockbuster projects, Krishna Vamsi reflected on the actor’s versatility, suggesting that Tollywood hasn’t fully tapped into Prabhas’ potential. He remarked, “Prabhas is a good performer. However, the industry seems to restrict him to action movies. Even when we worked on Chakra, I had a different storyline in mind, yet action themes took precedence. Today, after 20 years, it’s much the same. Directors are still limiting him to action.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting updates on Prabhas’ upcoming projects, including Spirit, Salaar 2, and Kalki 2. The superstar has been busy with Rajasaab’s film, as well as a project with director Hanu Raghavapudi. With his birthday just around the corner, the anticipation for new releases and updates is at an all-time high.

Krishna Vamsi on Remakes and Khadgam:

Reflecting on the industry’s trend of remakes, Krishna Vamsi was asked about the possibility of recreating his classic film Ninne Pelladatha with Naga Chaitanya. He dismissed the idea, saying, “Some movies should be left as they are. Remakes can’t always capture the original’s spirit. Instead, I’d rather create something new that aligns with Chaitanya’s style.”

Meanwhile, his film Khadgam, a massive success when it was first released in 2002, is set to hit the theaters once again. Starring Srikanth, Ravi Teja, and Prakash Raj, Khadgam became a milestone in Indian cinema. With its re-release, audiences will have the chance to experience the timeless story anew.
