Legendary writer Vijayendra Prasad appears to hold a special admiration for director Puri Jagannadh and his filmmaking style. Despite being occupied with his collaboration with his son, renowned director SS Rajmouli, known for hits like Simhadri and RRR, Vijayendra Prasad has decided to allocate some of his time for Puri.
“Vijayendra Prasad reached out to me and asked to hear the plot of my upcoming film before it goes into production. I grasped his intention. He aimed to make minor adjustments to prevent any failures on my part. Although I was moved by his care, I chose not to disclose the storyline of Double ISMART!” shared Puri Jagannadh during an event.
Interestingly, Jagannadh is also a skilled writer, credited with successful scripts such as Idiot, Pokiri, Desamuduru, Businessman, and Temper. However, his career faced setbacks following a series of disappointments like Loafer and Liger.
According to a producer, Vijayendra Prasad remarked, “Puri should have consulted with me since he understands the audience’s preferences, and I could have offered valuable insights to ensure a triumphant outcome.” The producer added, “Perhaps Puri desired to stage a comeback independently and showcase his prowess as a writer.”
