The Telugu film industry has recently been abuzz with controversies and dramatic developments. From the arrest of star actor Allu Arjun in connection with the Sandhya Theater stampede case to escalating disputes within the Manchu family, the industry is facing turbulent times. Adding fuel to the fire, verbal clashes between Telangana’s ruling and opposition parties have further complicated the situation.
In light of these events, Manchu Vishnu, President of the Movie Artists Association (MAA), has issued a crucial statement addressing the issues. Recognizing the pivotal role of the film industry in fostering creativity and collaboration, he urged members to refrain from making public statements on sensitive matters.
“Our artists have always shared strong bonds with public representatives across various governments. The growth of our industry has been possible only through mutual cooperation and support. From the era of CM Chenna Reddy to the present day, governments have played a significant role in helping the Telugu film industry flourish in Hyderabad,” Vishnu said.
He added, “In the current scenario, I urge ‘our’ members to avoid commenting on sensitive issues or expressing personal opinions. The law will take its course regarding the recent incidents. Public reactions or premature statements may only worsen the situation. What we need now is patience, empathy, and unity within the film fraternity.”
Manchu Vishnu also emphasized the importance of community spirit, saying, “The Telugu Movie Artists Association is like one big family. No matter what problems arise, we will face them together with unity. Let us stay strong and work collaboratively to overcome these challenges.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Manchu Vishnu is focusing on his dream project, Kannappa. Directed by Mahabharata serial fame Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film promises to be a grand cinematic experience. The project boasts a stellar cast, including Mohan Babu, R. Sarath Kumar, Madhubala, Brahmanandam, and many more. With its high production value and ambitious storytelling, Kannappa is shaping up to be a milestone in Vishnu’s career.
